Team Herts Pride

Team Herts Pride are a group of volunteers who help to prepare, organise and run the annual event in Hertfordshire known as Herts Pride. The event is managed by the Hertfordshire LGBT*Q Health And Wellbeing CIC which is a not for profit organisation bringing together the services and support for the LGBT*Q community in Hertfordshire. All members of Team Herts Pride receive recognition for the outstanding work they achieve each year and certainly have something lavish to add to their CV. The event has been running since 2013 and has already received praise and recognition from dozens of Hertfordshire based organisation and members from UK wide LGBT*Q groups.

It is now seen to be one of the fastest growing and more successful prides outside the realms of the well established events such as Brighton, London, Manchester and Birmingham.

There are many ways in which you can become involved in Team Herts Pride. From helping to plan to the big day, looking after the finances or just helping out on pride day itself. Event Director

Chris Skinner

Chris has been part of the events organisation since it's launch in 2013 under the lead of the Founding Director Tyson Martin. In recent years Chris has taken the lead in the organisation of the event and is now the Event Director. Chris is also one of the Company Directors for the Hertfordshire LGBT*Q Health And Wellbeing CIC to ensure that Herts Pride continues to meet it's key objectives for the LGBT*Q community of Hertfordshire working with the Hertfordshire LGBT*Q Health And Wellbeing CIC.

Event Co-Ordinator

Phil Judd

Phil has a great wealth of knowledge and experience when it come to organising events, an excellent eye for detail. Phil will make the event for 2017 run as smoothly as possible and will be a key pin in making sure Team Herts Pride work as one. 

Funding Co-Ordinator

James Webb

James is under the skin of the local business community and deals with big corporate organisations on a regular basis as part of his full time job. James is a valuable asset to the team and it’s great to have him on board. 

Community Liaison Co-Ordinator

Matt Lee

Matt has been a keen follower of Pride over the last few years and this year joins the team to make fantastic progress in building our key relationships with community organisations. He has a wealth of great experience and knowledge when it comes to working with the community and making sure achievements are made. 

Entertainment Co-Ordinator

John Pynaert

John has played a key role with Herts Aid at the Pride events over the past few years and this year joins the team to help with the organisation. He will make sure we have a stunning line up of entertainment of the day and it runs to plan.

Volunteer Co-Ordinator

Jack Hurn

Jack has previously been involved with Herts Pride and now will head up the team of volunteers over the pride weekend. Jacks skills in recruitment and training will ensure we have a great team of volunteers on board for 2017.

Operations Co-Ordinator

Ben Wallington

Ben has been an amazing asset to Herts Pride over the last 3 years and will focus once again on making sure the setup procedure runs as smoothly as possible. He knows exactly what he is looking for to make the site safe, run smoothly and remains incident free. Ben has a huge passion for Pride and is excited about making the 5th year our best yet.
